Description
Working with children today, early childhood educators benefit from examining the critical topic of adversity and trauma experienced by children. Participants will explore the effects of adversity on development and evidence-based approaches to create safe and supportive learning environments, fostering resilience and healing. Trauma informed strategies that can positively support the well-being and development of the children will be highlighted.
Facilitator: Carol Arthurs
Carol Arthurs is a school psychologist who lives with her family in Southwest Nova Scotia. She works in the public school system and has a private practice. She values advocacy, relationship based education and identifying strengths in her work with students, families and educators.
