Children belong in outdoor play environments that connect with and celebrate nature. Outdoors is a place that is intended to inspire children to think and wonder, to experiment, and to discover. When programs embrace and design outdoor play spaces that follow a play and place-based philosophy, children have opportunities to act upon their curiosity and wonderment.  This interactive workshop explores strategies for designing outdoor play spaces and programming strategies that spark children’s curiosity, which in turn, leads them to new levels of exploration, wonderment, discoveries, and learning.
